Again we see a collection of exhaust things sitting on the kitchen floor, this time there is a long bit of stainless steel flexi pipe, and a 90 degree elbow.

A nice shiny 2.5 inch stainless steel dairy pipe bend.

Which converts effortlessly into two tailpipes.

This is one alternative for the exhaust system, with the boxes living under the rear bumper.

But the final solution  will be a more conventional layout.

The silencers were first positioned under the subframe, but seemed to hang a bit low, so the bottom of the rear rail was 'relieved' to raise them to almost touch the boot floor.

Then a 'test' valance was cut and bolted on for effect.

And the final valance cut & painted a fetching shade of black.

Tailpipes (& a bit of smoke)

Cick for twin1.wav (403k) The quality of the recording is a bit iffy as Elaine was standing 4 or 5 paces from the back of the car, which is obviously too close for the camcorder !

Front  held on with 'supa-safe' bunge cords, note the discrete 'black-bin-bag' cover over the air filter. If not removed before starting it can impede airflow !!

Under the lid the yellow garden hose protects the cables and keeps them neat and tidy.

Apart from the 'spare' ends. Plenty of slack has been allowed to make the internal rewire easier. I'll be in big trouble if the elves turn up in the night and mix up all the labels !

Mean in Black ?
